About Us
Podium is a human performance laboratory operating in conjunction with The Lab Performance Therapy, focused on bringing laboratory-grade physiology out of the university setting and into real-world application. Podium is uniquely equipped to deliver advanced metabolic and performance testing typically reserved for academic or research environments—while ensuring results directly inform training, performance, and recovery.
Through direct measurement of metabolic function, aerobic capacity, and physiological adaptations to high-intensity performance, Podium turns objective data into training platforms. In collaboration with The Lab, these insights are translated into physiology-driven training and performance strategies.
Podium also serves as a satellite classroom for local colleges and universities, providing exercise science students with hands-on experience in advanced testing and applied performance analysis. At Podium, performance is not estimated—it is measured and applied.

What Is Metabolic Testing?
Metabolic testing provides a direct, laboratory-grade assessment of how your body produces and uses energy at rest and during exercise.
Through the measurement of body composition, resting energy expenditure, oxygen consumption during exercise, and lactate production and clearance, metabolic testing defines how your energy systems function across the full intensity spectrum.
These measurements establish true metabolic and performance thresholds, revealing how efficiently you use fuel, how quickly fatigue develops, and how rapidly you recover between efforts.
Unlike wearable technology and field-based proxies that rely on estimates or generalized models, lab-grade testing captures actual physiological data in real time.
